The free home check
When you type an address, the matching happens in your own browser. Our server only receives a request for the public data file that covers your ZIP code, city or street name, the way any website receives a request for a page. We don't ask for your name, email or phone number to run the check, and we don't store the address you type.
"Save my spot" and reminders
If you choose to leave your email after a check, we keep that email, a short reference code for the home (county, house number and part of the street name), which list you joined, the page language and how you found us. We use it only to email you about sign-ups and your new appraisal notice. We don't sell it. Reply to any of our emails to be removed.
Your account
If you create an account, we keep your name, email, phone number (if you give it), the homes you add with their free-check savings estimate, and where each protest stands. We use it to run your protest and to email you about it. We sign you in with a code sent to your email, so we never store a password. You can delete your account and its homes at any time from your account page.
How you found us
If you arrive from an ad, a mailer or another site, your browser keeps a note of that (for example "postcard" or "search") in its local storage. It stays on your device and is added to the sign-up link so we know which of our outreach works. You can clear it any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Language
If you pick English or Español in the menu, we keep that choice in a cookie ("ironstand_lang") for one year, so the site opens in your language next time. The cookie holds nothing else.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard request logs (such as IP address and time) to run and secure the service.
